As an Assistant Professor in the Education Studies Department at Bahrain Teachers College, University of Bahrain, I bring over thirty years of extensive experience in education, working with students from pre-K through grade 12 and undergraduate and graduate programs. This diverse background has equipped me to tackle a wide array of educational challenges and positioned me as a leader in professional development for pre-service and in-service teachers, school leaders, and administrators across the Far East, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. My leadership roles include serving as Director of Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning at Bahrain Teachers College, Deputy Director of the International School of Choueifat in the UAE, and Consultant Reviewer for the Bahrain Quality Assurance Authority. A notable achievement was my major contribution to developing the curriculum for Bahrain Teachers College’s Bachelor of Education pre-service program, which earned me a finalist position for the GESS Education Awards in Dubai. Additionally, I have provided consultancy to government bodies and private institutions, internationally focusing on improving educational practices. Mentoring is a cornerstone of my professional life; I am committed to guiding new faculty members in their academic journeys and supporting students in their personal and professional development. I believe that every student, especially those with special needs and gifted learners, deserves personalized support that nurtures their unique abilities and fosters creativity and critical thinking. My research centers on identifying effective strategies for differentiated instruction aimed at enhancing the learning experiences of these students. I am actively engaged in the academic community as an editor for several scholarly journals and a member of the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSCM) and various professional organizations, including the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). My primary research interests focus on the educational needs of gifted and talented students and the professional development of teachers. I have authored key publications, such as ""Stories of Gifted Students,"" recognized as the best book in the ""Top Teaching of Gifted Children"" category by Borders, Australia. This book offers insights into the educational experiences of gifted students and strategies to reduce dropout risks. My other works include ""Factors behind Gifted Dropouts,"" which explores reasons for underachievement, and ""The Use of Aptitude and Academic Achievement Tests in Gifted Identification,"" which differentiates between aptitude and achievement tests in identifying gifted students. In addition to these publications, I have contributed numerous journal articles, conference papers, and participated in various academic events. My current research projects include exploring the specialization preferences of preservice teachers, examining Islamic perspectives on education for gifted students, and investigating teacher attitudes toward academically diverse students.
In my pursuit of educational excellence, I remain dedicated to advancing gifted education and teacher development. My leadership in research and mentorship underscores my commitment to shaping future educators and addressing the unique needs of gifted and talented students. By engaging with emerging educational trends and collaborating with global scholars, I strive to create impactful contributions that empower educators and students to thrive in diverse learning environments.مجالات الخبرة
