PROGRAM LEVEL
The Bachelor of Education program is designed to equip high school graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to become effective primary school teachers in one of four tracks: Cycle1, Math & Science, Arabic language & Islamic Studies, and English Language. Students will study school curriculum, learning and human development theories, inclusive education, teaching methods, innovative strategies, and assessment techniques applicable to primary classrooms. The program emphasizes practical application and assessment of teacher competencies through teaching practice experiences in real primary school settings. Various teaching methods, such as case-study analysis, microteaching, hands-on activities, and ICT integration, are employed. Students also develop academic language, critical thinking, collaborative learning, problem-solving, and analytic skills. Graduates are prepared to join the primary teaching profession in public schools, possessing the necessary knowledge, skills, and educational competencies to enhance the quality of education in Bahrain’s public schools. The program aims to produce competent teachers who create engaging learning environments, foster student growth, and contribute positively to their students’ development.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES – PEOs
The graduates of the Bachelor of Education will be prepared to:
- Acquire fundamental concepts, inquiry tools, subject-specific teaching methods, instructional planning techniques, and assessment approaches for primary-level subjects.
- Foster the intellectual, social, emotional, moral, and overall personal development of students.

PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES – PILOs
Students of the B.Ed program will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of central concepts, tools of inquiry, aspects of subject matter, and structures of the discipline while making rich learning experiences accessible.
- Analyze how pupils learn and develop within their individual learning patterns by providing meaningful opportunities that support intellectual, social, emotional, moral, and personal development.
- Apply inclusive learning practices that promote equity through realizing diversity and supporting pupils with special educational needs.
- Use a variety of evidence-based instructional planning and teaching strategies incorporating the twenty-first century learning skills for deep understanding of subject matter.
- Establish safe and respectful learning environments that encourage positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation in learning.
- Develop a variety of assessment strategies for measuring and evaluating pupils’ performance, and supporting learning with constructive feedback.

CREDIT HOURS DISTRIBUTION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the program is determined by the following criteria:
- Students must successfully pass all 10 courses of the Pre-University Foundation for Teachers Program.
- By the end of semester 2 in the Pre-University Foundation for Teachers Program, students need to achieve a CGPA of 2.0 or higher
DEGREE – AWARDING REQUIREMENTS (GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS)
Students should complete the following requirement to graduate from the program:
- A cumulative CGPA of not less than 2.0.
- Students must pass all program 41 courses (128 CrH) successfully.
- Students must pass the Teaching Practicum 4 courses with no less than a B grade. Grades will not be calculated in the CGPA.
