Dr. Sofia Hashim is the Head of the English Language Education Department at Bahrain Teachers’ College. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Exeter University in the United Kingdom. She received her master’s degree in English Education from the University College of Dublin, Ireland in 2004. Dr. Sofia obtained an Upper Second-Class Honors Reward in 2004 from The National University of Ireland, University College of Dublin. She has 14 years of experience in tertiary level education, and her areas of interest are in teaching ESL/EFL from an early age and teaching special needs children.
