Dr. Samira Farhat is an assistant professor in Applied Linguistics at the University of Bahrain. Her qualifications are Ph.D., Applied Linguistics, University of Carthage (2017); M.A., Linguistics, Higher Institute of Languages, Tunis (2003); B.A., English Literature, Civilization and Linguistics, University of Tunis (1998), and Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice: PCAP, University of Bahrain (2024); Fellow of UK The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) (2023).

Biography


Dr. Samira Farhat is an assistant professor in Applied Linguistics at the University of Bahrain. Her qualifications are Ph.D., Applied Linguistics, University of Carthage (2017); M.A., Linguistics, Higher Institute of Languages, Tunis (2003); B.A., English Literature, Civilization and Linguistics, University of Tunis (1998), and Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice: PCAP, University of Bahrain (2024); Fellow of UK The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) (2023). Dr. Samira Farhat’s areas of expertise and research interests are revolved around critical discourse analysis, social semiotics, Literacy, Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL).
