Biography


Dr. Masooma Al Mutawah is the head of Math, Science and ICT department and the Chair of the Curriculum Committee in Bahrain Teachers College. She is an associate professor in Mathematics Education and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in UK. She obtained a Postgraduate Certificate for Academic Practice (PCAP).

Ph.D. in Education Philosophy (Curriculum, Instructions, and School leadership), a master’s degree in education (Mathematics Curriculum and Teaching Methods) and a bachelor in Science (Mathematics). Her areas of expertise include curriculum and teaching methods, curriculum design and development, curriculum benchmarking, mathematics education, local and international teacher training, quality assurance, school leadership and professional development, educational leadership and policy, assessment, and measurement. She is active in community service activities and the General Secretary of Abdulrahman Kanoo Cultural Center.
