Dr. Ismail Elmahdi is an Assistant Professor currently working in the Bahrain Teachers College - University of Bahrain. Dr. Elmahdi graduated from Ohio University in the USA in 2003 with Doctorate of Philosophy in Education. Before joining the University of Bahrain, he worked at Dammam University in Saudi Arabia in the Deanship of Education Development, providing training and coaching to faculty members in areas related to teaching and learning processes. In his previous experiences, Dr. Elmahdi worked as Associate Director of Instructional Technology & Design at the Center for International Studies at Ohio University. Beside teaching courses related to integrating technology in teaching and learning, he collaborates with International Studies programs’ directors to advance the use of technology in teaching and learning activities. Dr. Elmahdi also worked for Wagner College in New York, USA as a Director of Academic computing. His research focuses on teacher education, educational technology and School leadership.
