Dr. Ali Khaled Bawaneh is an Assistant Professor in Science/Physics Curricula and Teaching Methods (Science Education) in the Department of Teaching Mathematics, Science and Information and Communication Technology at Bahrain Teachers College - University of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Bawaneh has received a promotion to the rank of Associate Professor in Science Curricula and Teaching Methods from Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2022). He is a Fellow of the UK The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) (2019). His academic qualifications are a PhD in Science Curriculum (Physics) and Teaching Methods (Science Education) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) (2011) – Malaysia; master’s degree in science curricula and teaching methods from the Hashemite University (2004) – Jordan; Higher Diploma in Teaching Science from Yarmouk University (2002) – Jordan; bachelor’s degree in physics, Yarmouk University (1998) – Jordan. Dr. Al Bawaneh areas of expertise and research interests focus on teaching science, alternative /misconceptions in science, employing technology and artificial intelligence in teaching science/physics, teacher training, professional development for pre-service and in-service teachers in science and mathematics, and professional development for university professors in teaching and learning.
