Dr. Junifer Abatayo is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (now Advance HE, UK). He finished his Postgraduate Studies in Teaching in Higher Education (PGTHE) at Edge Hill University, Liverpool, UK. He also finished his Doctor of Education, Master of Arts (English), and Bachelor in Secondary Education (English) from the Misamis University, the Philippines. Currently, he is teaching at the English Language Department of Bahrain Teachers College, University of Bahrain. Apart from his teaching roles, Dr. Abatayo is the Middle East Regional Representative of the Asian Association for Language Assessment (AALA). He is also a trained Site Reviewer for the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), USA, and Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA, Oman). His research interests include TESOL, Testing and Assessment, Communities of Good Practice, and Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Dr. Abatayo is the founding chair of TESOL Oman Sohar, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Association of Language Teachers (KSAALT TESOL) Yanbu Chapter.
