PROGRAM LEVEL
The program is designed to equip teachers who lack teaching or educational certificates with the pedagogical knowledge and skills necessary for effective classroom instruction. It aims to provide a comprehensive curriculum that covers educational theories, teaching methodologies, classroom management, and assessment techniques. Through the program, teachers develop practical skills in lesson planning, instructional delivery, and differentiated instruction, while fostering reflective teaching practices. The PGDE program enables teachers to enhance their teaching abilities, positively impact student learning, and engage in continuous professional development.

GENERAL INFORMATION OF THE PROGRAM
- Duration & Language: The program duration is one academic year, consisting of two semesters. The medium of instruction is Arabic or English, depending on the specialization.
- Course Load: Students take 4 courses per semester, for a total of 8 courses in the program.
- Credit Hours: Each course carries 3 credit hours, totaling 24 credit hours for the entire program.
- Timing: Classes are conducted in the evening.
- Course Duration: Each course spans a full academic semester (approximately 15 weeks), in accordance with the University of Bahrain’s academic calendar.
- Certification: Students are awarded a post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Bahrain.
- Graduation Requirements: To graduate, students must successfully complete all courses and attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5.
